The publication for the first time in Italian of the texts of Rudolf Steiner's meetings with the teachers of the Free Waldorf School of Stuttgart in 1919 represents for Steiner's pedagogy in Italy not only an important enrichment that integrates the various cycles of pedagogical conferences, but also the discovery of a lesser-known Rudolf Steiner, guide and colleague of the teachers, frank and direct who bluntly formulates judgements, approves and reprimands. It is as if one entered an open workshop where everything is in progress, where the certainties and reliability of the study plan as they often present themselves today are not yet there, where from week to week one adapts to the contingency of situations and where the necessary pedagogical choices then emerge from these.
