In this collection fourteen of Rudolf Steiner's students wrote down their real personal memories . They were still able to participate with him and under his eyes in the anthroposophical impulses of cultural renewal .

The volume responds to the needs of those for whom the study of anthroposophy is the foundation of life and the desire of the heart and for whom it was no longer possible to meet Rudolf Steiner: to see the human image of the great master possibly in many aspects and through the gaze of every single person who perceived it and kept it in their memory.

"When I asked Steiner for spiritual guidance he gave me an evening and morning meditation, built on the first words of the Gospel of John, which he explained to me thoroughly. Then he continued: “This is only the first half. The other is that you become aware of the fact that your meditation in the evening and in the morning is the only completely free action you carry out during the day. All the other actions of your life, although they may also derive from your decisions, are conditioned by your destiny in this life. Nothing forces you to do meditation regularly: it completely depends on your decision."
