Well, I should have dealt with Roger Bacon. Yes, my latest bibliographical "effort" would have had Bacon as the protagonist.

I would have liked to deal with that friar made famous by Sean Connery in “The Name of the Rose”. I already knew some little things about him and so ………..

But no. That's the beauty of my job, after all, I do what I feel, almost always.

In fact, while I was looking on the internet for some bibliographical references regarding one of the greatest alchemists of the Christian world, capable of "inventing" glasses centuries before Descartes, what appears, as if he wanted to bring himself to me and my attention with all his loaded with symbolic meanings?

An image, a painting it would be more correct to specify, which immediately changed my mind. A painting created by yet another local genius, which Italian history has often guiltily overlooked.

Unfortunately "We" have a very long bench, as they would say in football jargon, and we quickly forget about the champions, especially the local ones. In summary, while searching for Bacon I came across the work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo, and it, guys, left an indelible mark on me, so much so that my new publishing house will publish my book on this genius.

Michele Proclamato began his studies through the mysterious rediscovery of some monuments of his city: L'Aquila.
