BioTect Ultra® Filter Candles are only compatible with the TipTap over-sink treatment unit, they have a lifespan of 2,300 litres. A single candle for four levels of water filtration.
Features of BioTect Ultra® candles
* Level 1 – External ceramic shell: microfiltration (0.5 micron) of pathogenic organisms (bacteria, parasites, cysts…), sediments and impurities (turbidity) > 99.99%
* Level 2 – Interior of ceramic shell: BioTech™ & SureSeal™, antibacterial formulation containing silver to prevent microbiological growth inside the ceramic element.
* Level 3 – Compacted activated carbon block: Elimination of bad taste, odors, chlorine and chlorine derivatives > 97%. Residues and chemical products > 95% (herbicides, pesticides, atranzian, trihalomethanes, aromatic hydrocarbons...). Residues of hygiene and personal care products and medicines > 90%
* Level 4 Reduction of heavy metals: (lead, aluminium…) > 99%
Composition: Microporous ceramic + compacted activated carbon and heavy metal reduction media
Dimensions: 10" (254mm) long x 2" (49mm) diameter. Short 19mm (3/4") M12 socket.
Maintenance: Replace the BioTect Ultra® cartridge at least once a year or every 2,300 liters of filtered water (corresponds to 6.5 liters of water per day). Cleaning of the candle to be carried out if the water flow rate is reduced.
