Origin: India

CLIMATE: optimal for growth 25-30°C - minimum 15°C - long photoperiod - sunny exposure.

SOWING: crescent moon - you can either sow in a row, i.e. 2-3 seeds in a small hole, or sow in a continuous row, both in the first and second case after birth, 20-30 days from sowing, proceed thinning leaving only one plant per square meter.

BIOINFORM Species with invasive plant, creeping stem, shoots can reach three metres, monoecious, unisexual axillary flowers, separate male and female flowers but on the same plant. The secondary roots are very branched and superficial therefore it requires good irrigation. Grown in dry conditions, it has smaller fruits and tends to get sick. Plant subject to powdery mildew that can be easily combated with native sulfur-based treatments authorized in organic farming. The ripening of the fruits occurs in a concentrated way, repeated sowing at different times is recommended, early, medium and late, in this way continuous production is obtained over time.
