WORMWOOD
Dettagli
Characteristics
It's a non-toxic plant-based product and can be used indoors to protect plants. It imparts deterrent properties to the foliage due to its bitter properties, which greatly respect the biological balance.
DOSAGE: 600-800 g/hl
Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) contains compounds such as terpenes and tannins that act as a repellent for various types of insects. It acts primarily as a preventative or in the initial stages of infestation. It is a natural product that does not alter natural balances. A macerate is prepared using the above-ground part of the plant, including flowers and leaves, but powder obtained from the dried plant can also be used. The plant should be harvested in the morning during the flowering phase, preferably on days with light or warm temperatures, according to the biodynamic sowing calendar. Use 300 grams of fresh plant for 10 liters of water, or about 50 grams for the dried plant. The maceration, which can vary from 2 to 6-7 days depending on the temperature, is done in the shade with a loose lid over the container. It is best not to use metal containers for maceration. During maceration, the liquid should be stirred daily. Afterwards, it can be filtered and used as is, possibly adding 1% potassium silicate as a tackifier. Alternatively, you can make an herbal tea using the same quantities. For plant spraying, which should not be done during the middle of the day, you can add kaolin or zeolite.
