Farmers who practice biodynamics use preparations with numbered denominations: from 500 to 507. But what is hidden behind these names? Biodynamics continually evolves and we need to understand in an ever deeper and more conscious way what lies behind these numbers and the names of the preparations, which are not simple substances but activators of physical and energetic processes. This strong awareness allows us to improve the practice of biodynamics and consequently improve the quality of food and the fertility of the Earth even in the face of continuous climate change. If preparations 500 and 501 were intended for soil and plants, preparations 502 to 507 are intended for the preparation of compost. But not only that: they participate in this alchemy which makes compost the ferment of life through the combined and coordinated action of the various kingdoms of Nature, plants and organic envelopes through the conscious direction of man, in synergy with each other thanks to the process indicated by Rudolf Steiner in the Koberwitz Course of 1924. This text represents an ingenious and indispensable complement for understanding the preparations, as it describes the processes that act within the organs and the reason why yarrow, chamomile, oak bark and dandelion need the bladder , intestines, skull and mesentery to carry out their correct transformation. The synergy of the processes is based on the polarity and complementarity between the vegetal and animal kingdoms in tune with the relationship of the forces of the planets acting on the Earth.
