Rudolf Steiner was not a simple re-proposer in a modern key of the contents of the ancient science of the spirit, but he was the bearer of a new impulse (the Christic and Michaelite impulse) which moves from his first writing, The Philosophy of Freedom, to his last series of conferences on "karmic connections".
He is the founder of a new science that is connected to all the esotericisms of the past, and places the unique and irreplaceable figure of Christ at the center of the evolution of our cosmos. Science that is available and suitable for every man.
In a 1903 article, he in fact said that the task of the European and American populations is to "illustrate the beliefs of karma and reincarnation with the results of science", and that "without this foundation the members of these peoples cannot reach the scientific-spiritual knowledge". This is a statement that relaunches the task of the West, within which the current materialist science was born, towards a desired "reunion" of "scientific" knowledge and "religious" knowledge in what Steiner defined as the future Michael Science.
