The book was created with the aim of facilitating the study of the phenomenon of symbolic compensation in all its implications (health, daily life, politics, socioculture) and of disseminating the knowledge acquired. This first publication brings together three notebooks that explain in detail the mechanisms of "Symbolic Compensation": The strategic brain: the name strategic brain indicates the set of brain structures that regulate psychosomatic balance, the state of health or illness . Chance or symbolic compensation?: the second notebook is dedicated to the principle of symbolic compensation in its various forms. Why illness: the last part of the book is dedicated exclusively to organic symbolic compensations (illnesses).
