THE PRIULA ROAD

Dettagli

The first lasting sign left by man since his appearance on earth appears to have been a road. The Priula road built in 1590 by the Podestà of Bergamo Alvise Priuli is still today an important sign and testimony in various aspects. Certainly for historical reasons, and today for the hiking options that this fascinating ancient route offers. This publication does not intend to give the reader a detailed guide on how to travel the Priula road from Passo S. Marco to Morbegno but a photographic timetable of views and scenery along the landscape of the Bitto Valley. The proposal is new and particular, it offers the reader a new way of seeing the landscape, as seen through the viewfinder of the camera. Moments filmed throughout the seasons and at certain times of the day were chosen. In fact, the publication contains numbered images, some with the dates of filming to encourage the reader to go and observe and admire moments of light, natural settings of great effect, which, sometimes due to haste and the obvious habit of trivializing the richness of we can't even see the nature of our territory.
