Dettagli

This volume presents for the first time in Italian two cycles of conferences that Rudolf Steiner held on the theme of the Apocalypse, collected in the context of the Opera Omnia (Gesamtausgabe, abbrev. GA) at number 104a. This number indicates that these conferences were published as a supplement to the more well-known and extensive cycle, entitled The Apocalypse of John, held in Nuremberg in 1908, which corresponds precisely to number 104. Indeed, these conferences complete those of Nuremberg (GA 104) with further important aspects on the topic.

Unlike most of the previous and subsequent cycles, this volume does not contain complete shorthand transcriptions, even if not revised by the author, but rather the notes of the participants in the two cycles, held respectively in Munich, between 21 April and on 15 May 1907 (four conferences), and in Kristiania (former name of Oslo) between 9 and 21 May 1909 (twelve conferences).

AUTHOR

Rudolf Steiner was born in Kraljevec (now Croatia, at the time the Habsburg Empire) in 1861. After technical and humanistic studies, he became the editor of Goethe's scientific works. Subsequently he undertook a career as an editor, writer and lecturer, an activity which he maintained until his death in Dornach (near Basel) in 1925. In his over 6000 conferences he brought an innovative impulse, in the light of his Anthroposophy or Spiritual Science, in particular all branches of human knowledge of the time. His spiritual and moral legacy is still far from being fully welcomed and understood by humanity.
