Neoliberalism and mass manipulation. Story of a Redeemed Bocconi student - Ilaria Bifarini

Dettagli

Description

"Neoliberalism and mass manipulation" is aimed at all those who want to undertake a path of unveiling the lies that lie behind the current socio-economic model.

Denying the teachings of Bocconi University, where she trained, the author guides readers through her own journey of understanding the neoliberal deception. The book introduces the history of crowd psychology, starting from the work of Le Bon, studied and loved by the great dictators of the 20th century, and Bernays, Freud's nephew and inventor of consensus engineering, up to the development of consumer capitalism.

Given the sociological and historical-cultural premises, the development of first liberal and then neoliberal economic thought is analysed , understood as a degeneration of the former.

The text, which reaches the present day, adopts a popular register and is accessible to all, with insights of both an economic and philosophical nature, but always foreign to academic technicalities and sophisms. After leading the reader through a cognitive and introspective journey, Ilaria Bifarini proposes her own solutions to bring about real change, at an individual and collective level.
