PASTE FOR TRUNKS WITH BILE REPELLENT FROM ROE DEER AND HARE

During the winter, due to snow, ice and less grass and food availability, there is a strong risk of seeing the plants, especially young ones, prey to roe deer and hares that feed on the shoots. Very often, especially on young plants, because they are more tender and they become aggressive until they eat  the young bark and each shoot and consequently cause it to die  due to lack of circulation of the sap, which very often causes the death of the plants themselves.

In addition to protecting them with special plastic protections or similar, we would like to point out that we have developed a paste for trunks enriched with animal bile which makes the plants that have been brushed with it absolutely undesirable to bite.

Bile is an isotonic aqueous solution produced by the liver of cattle, very bitter and made up mainly of water (95%), electrolytes, lipids (bile acids, cholesterol and phospholipids), proteins and pigments (bilirubin); its pH is slightly basic.

The presence of potassium silicate in the log paste binds the bile, making it resistant to rain and snow while maintaining its strongly repellent smell and taste.

You can order it from Agri.Bio Servizi at the price of €5.00 per kg (in addition to the container and shipping costs)

CAUTION: Since there is also fresh manure in the log paste, it can ferment, and therefore keep the lid closed but never hermetically sealed, so that it can vent during fermentation
