AGRIA
Variety of German origin created during the eighties, mainly suitable for the transformation of gnocchi, chips and fried potatoes. Fertilization is very linked to the structure of the soil, usually it is not necessary to exaggerate with nitrogen (100-120 kg/ha), because it easily tends to form hollow hearts. If possible, avoid soils with high scabies potential. Pre-sprouting is very important, however as far as irrigation is concerned, distribute irrigation supplies uniformly throughout the entire crop cycle in the hottest periods to mitigate the soil temperature. Otherwise there is a risk of secondary growth and the presence of scabies. It is important to wait for complete maturation, to avoid subsequent mechanical damage and bruises. It keeps well throughout the winter period, for industrial products we recommend a storage temperature of around 6 °C. Widespread mainly in Germany and Holland, in our context it behaves as a semi-late cycle, i.e. around 120 days, especially in contexts with cool hill and mountain climates.
