Historical red-skinned variety of Dutch origin, selected starting from the sixties. It produces rather large tubers with good overall yield, suitable for various soil and climatic zones, keeps well and has multi-purpose properties in the kitchen. Adopt a fertilization plan in relation to the results of the soil analysis. Follow the standard criteria regarding nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilization for medium-late cycle varieties. The pre-sprouting of the seed tuber helps to anticipate growth. If the apical shoot is present, remove it and plant when the small white shoots appear. Avoid soils with a high risk of various scabies, in fact it is recommended to maintain good soil humidity, especially at the beginning of the tuberization phase. Implement careful preventive protection against downy mildew, especially the aerial part. Make sure the crop is mature at the time of drying. Reduce fall heights and avoid mechanical damage, the variety is quite susceptible to bruises. High dry matter and cold during harvest increase the risks of mechanical damage. It has good dormancy, so it can be kept in natural storage conditions for the first few months after harvest. In Italy it is widespread more or less throughout the national territory, nowadays appreciated by producers in the hobby/non-professional sector.
