Living in a system of absolute capitalism, one increasingly driven exclusively by profit, means being governed by entities that see and treat us as a farmer sees and treats the chickens he raises in his shed: simple, anonymous parts of the business cycle, with a programmed function and destiny of total surveillance and gradual deprivation of freedom to maximize profit, exploitation to the bone. Now that the system has laws and technologies that allow for radical control and manipulation, our future is at stake: return to being human or become like genetically modified chickens. Either we fully submit to the logic of profit and numbers, or we return to counting as human beings, the only alternative to a fate of farmed chickens, born and living only to be plucked and eaten. It's now or never. The path to salvation lies in knowledge. This book points to the resources: to solve current problems, we must immediately invest in the resources the future can produce.
