MODE OF ACTION PREV-AM® PLUS is an insecticide-fungicide that acts by contact with a physical mode of action. It causes the drying out of the cuticle of insects with a soft exoskeleton, during both the juvenile and adult phases, such as whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers and also of the cell walls of the external organs (mycelium, conidia, cleistothecia, etc.) of fungal diseases.

It is recommended to apply on dry vegetation in order to avoid dilution of the product, which decreases the effectiveness of the treatment. Good nebulization quality is necessary to optimize the contact action. Its use on vegetation suffering from water stress is not recommended. PREV-AM® PLUS is applied throughout the season at the beginning of infections of fungal diseases or at the first appearance of phytophagous pests, maintaining an appropriate shift of interventions depending on the pressure of the parasites. The physical mode of action guarantees the absence of the appearance of resistance phenomena. PREV-AM® PLUS represents a valid solution for control strategies aimed at reducing resistance phenomena towards synthetic molecules. The mixtures must comply with the regulations set out in the integrated protection specifications. The addition of wetting agents/adjuvants to PREV-AM® PLUS is not recommended, as is extemporaneous mixtures of PREV-AM® PLUS with wettable sulfurs in full doses; while it is possible to use reduced doses of wettable sulfurs on the vine (e.g. 1-2 Kg/ha at 80%) and PREV-AM® PLUS. In the case of extemporaneous mixtures with other agrochemicals having the same target, it is recommended to use the lower doses indicated on the label.
