SPIRITUAL RESISTANCE AND OVERCOMING

SPIRITUAL RESISTANCE AND OVERCOMING

Ita Wegman 1933-1935

This monograph describes the life and activity of Ita Wegman in the years from 1933 to 1935, in particular her confrontation with National Socialist fascism and the process that took place within the Universal Anthroposophical Society.

The work that led to this monograph originally began with the study of Ita Wegman's trip to Palestine (which began on September 29 and ended on October 10, 1934), a trip that Rudolf Steiner, during the last weeks of his illness, would wanted to accomplish and which Ita Wegman was able to achieve in October 1934 after a long illness that brought her close to death.

Documents recently found in her legacy allow us to better understand the path followed by Ita Wegman in Palestine and the places she visited; the overall consideration of the chronology of his correspondence and his notes highlights the importance that this trip had for his life and spiritual experiences of 1934.
