ROMEO (resistance inductor) 1KG
Dettagli
Cerevisane is an inert fraction deriving from the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae (non-GMO strain LAS117) and has been recognized by the EU as a low-risk substance .
Romeo ® is the only resistance inducer registered on both powdery mildew and downy mildew and botrytis, the main pathogenic fungi of the vine.
Romeo ® acts preventively by contact and, mimicking the attack of a pathogen , promotes and maximizes Sar (Systemic Acquired Resistance) by promoting the release of compounds related to the plant's defense mechanisms , preparing it to protect itself from fungal adversities.
In particular, Romeo ® is responsible for the activation of genes related to the production of Jasmonic Acid and Ethylene (JA/ET), typically associated with protection against necrotrophic fungi (Botrytis) and for the activation of genes related to Salicylic Acid (SA), typically associated with protection against biotrophic fungi (Plasmopara, Erysiphe, Podosphaera, etc.).
Romeo ® , in other words, anticipates, stimulates and maximizes the natural reaction that the plant would have in the presence of a fungal attack.
In fact, Romeo ® , despite not having a direct action on the pathogenic fungus, when it comes into contact with the cells of the plant , favors:
- the activation of defense genes;
- the production of substances directly involved in endogenous defense (phytoalexins, resistance proteins);
- the production and accumulation of lignin, indirectly involved in defense;
-
the preparation and acceleration of cellular processes intended to produce peroxides (Ros) with antimicrobial action .
These natural responses, which the plant promptly provides in 24-48 hours, favor an excellent endogenous defense, active for 7-10 days .
Due to its characteristics, Romeo ® is an ideal partner for all defense solutions in integrated and organic agriculture : it completes and improves the effectiveness of fungicide strategies in any cultivation condition.
It is also important to underline that Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a ubiquitous yeast that has always been present in nature, used by man over the centuries for the fermentation of beer, bread-making, winemaking and the production of alcoholic beverages in general. This eumycete is also widely used and appreciated as a supplement of non-animal origin for human nutrition and as a feed with probiotic effects for bees, fish and birds.
Cerevisane degrades thanks to a natural and fast process into proteins, carbohydrates and mineral components: no bioaccumulation phenomenon is possible.
In conclusion, Romeo ® is a product:
- low environmental impact ;
- which does not cause bioaccumulation phenomena;
- registered for some of the most important pathogens;
- capable of activating the endogenous defenses of the plant;
- capable of reducing the plant's susceptibility to pathogens;
- which represents a revolutionary tool in integrated and biological defense .
200-250 grams per hectare are used and it can be associated with copper products.
PRECAUTIONARY ADVICE :
P101 If medical advice is needed, have the product packaging or label at hand. P102 Keep out of reach of children
P103 Read the label before use. P260 Do not breathe dust.
ADDITIONAL PRESCRIPTIONS: SP1 Do not contaminate water with the product or its container. Do not clean the application material near surface water. Avoid contamination through water drainage systems from farms and roads.
CHARACTERISTICS AND MODE OF ACTION : ROMEO ® is a resistance inducer with systemic and preventive action. The active ingredient contained (CEREVISANE) stimulates the defense mechanisms of plants so that they can protect themselves autonomously from fungal infections.
ROMEO ® is a low-risk plant protection product according to Regulation (EC) No. 1107/2009.

Fill the sprayer tank halfway with water and turn on the agitator. Add the necessary quantity of ROMEO ® . Fill the tank with water to the required filling level. Leave the agitator on during spraying. PREPARATION OF THE SOLUTION AND APPLICATION:
Always ensure that the nozzles are clean, maintained in full working order and calibrated according to the manufacturer's instructions.
WARNINGS :
ROMEO ® can be used for foliar spraying in open fields on vines, table grapes and cucurbits as well as in greenhouses for cucurbits, salads, tomatoes and strawberries.
Apply preventively before there is a risk of infestation. Application interval: 7-10 days based on the incidence of the disease.
In case of spread or high incidence of the disease, apply ROMEO ® together with other fungicides (alternating or mixed). Apply enough spray to ensure complete coverage of plants without washout.
If possible, apply the product on both sides of the leaves and preferably in the morning. Avoid application at high temperatures. In the presence of heavy rain (risk of washout) repeat the application.
ATTENTION :
Store the container tightly sealed in a dry, well-ventilated place. Always store the product in the original packaging. We recommend storing ROMEO ® in a place protected from frost, high temperatures, direct sunlight and humidity. This product may only be used in accordance with the recommendations and instructions specified on the label. The user is responsible for intended use.
Compatibility: Mixtures with other products must be applied according to current provisions and the recommendations in the official guidelines for good agricultural practice.
