Living simply with your children, with yourself - Sabrina D'Orsi

Being curious, balanced and happy people seems like an impossible mission amidst all the commitments, haste and challenges of today. The relationship with our children is full of unknowns, many of us don't trust the educational function of school, what's more we are the first parents to deal with digital natives in a world full of stimuli. What happened to us?

In her book "Vivere Semplice con i Figli, con Sessi" Sabrina D'Orsi recounts the failures and intuitions of a family that has chosen not to be distracted in the face of the essentials , to take a few steps back lightly, to throw it into the sea the superstructures and remove, remove to get to what really matters.

We can all build a very normal yet non-standardized daily life, made up of small gestures that fuel the wonder of living and train gratitude and trust.

It's about finding our authentic and positive modus without claiming to be perfect , trying to:

• address prejudices and expectations towards children,
• accompany their development in a manner appropriate to their developmental age,
• give time to our children and have time for ourselves,
• get out of the loops that prevent us from being as we would like,
• learn to make mistakes, don't be touchy, stop complaining,
• create healthy rhythms and good habits.

Being a parent is a great opportunity to find a balance that we continue to look for externally but which can instead come from within and, surprisingly, within the relationship with children and teenagers.
